Samathu Sri Muthazhagan
Founder, Flowtis

My background is in industrial automation and manufacturing engineering in production environments. I have worked on the floor with automated equipment, where projects succeed or stall on details: a sensor that doesn’t trigger, a signal that isn’t verified, a trial that isn’t documented.

That experience taught me that delivery takes more than schedules and meetings. It takes understanding how equipment behaves, talking to the people doing the work, spotting blockers early, tracking evidence, and following every issue through to closure.

My direction now is freelance project management and technical coordination for manufacturing, automation, equipment integration and engineering delivery projects. The examples here describe my technical background, not sole ownership of entire projects.

Examples of my technical background

  • PLC and HMI configuration and troubleshooting
  • Equipment installation, setup, commissioning and debugging
  • Equipment and process validation
  • AOI and camera inspection systems, CCD and lighting adjustment
  • Robot transfer sequences, positioning and troubleshooting
  • Servo teaching, sensor checks and I/O verification
  • MES/MIS integration and traceability support
  • Cycle-time improvement and production readiness
  • Coordination with engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, ME, IQC and quality teams
  • Issue tracking, root-cause investigation, trials and follow-up validation

Freelance services

Eight clearly defined ways I can support a project. Scope and deliverables are agreed before work starts.

Technical project coordination

The problem
Actions slip between engineering, manufacturing, maintenance and quality teams.
What I contribute
Ownership, deadlines, dependency tracking and follow-ups across teams.
Deliverables
Action register, owner list, review notes.

Project planning and milestone tracking

The problem
Goals without a practical plan or visible status.
What I contribute
Task breakdown, milestone schedules, risk and delay identification.
Deliverables
Project tracker, milestone status, progress reports.

Manufacturing automation project support

The problem
PLC, HMI, robot, sensor, servo and vision issues go untracked.
What I contribute
Coordinating troubleshooting follow-ups with the responsible technical teams.
Deliverables
Issue log, readiness tracker.

Equipment commissioning coordination

The problem
Commissioning steps, dependencies and handover items get missed.
What I contribute
Coordinating installation, set-up and commissioning activities and checklists.
Deliverables
Commissioning checklist, punch list, handover list.

Testing and validation coordination

The problem
Trial evidence, approvals and corrective actions are scattered.
What I contribute
Coordinating trial runs and tracking PQ or qualification progress where applicable.
Deliverables
Test-evidence tracker, pending-approvals list.

Production readiness and cycle-time tracking

The problem
Targets are unclear and trial results can’t be compared.
What I contribute
Tracking measurements against agreed targets and recording trial changes.
Deliverables
Cycle-time log, bottleneck and action list.

Issue, risk and action tracking

The problem
Blockers are discovered late.
What I contribute
Keeping live registers with owners and due dates, and escalating stalled items.
Deliverables
Issue, risk and action registers.

Technical documentation and status reporting

The problem
Updates are inconsistent and handover is incomplete.
What I contribute
Clear, regular written communication and organised project records.
Deliverables
Daily and weekly reports, minutes, risk registers, handover summaries.

Flowtis provides coordination, tracking and documentation support. Engineering decisions, implementation, approvals and sign-offs remain with the appropriately authorised teams. I do not offer services that require a professional licence.
